Alytix S.A. joined the Business Incubation program in September 2018.

It specializes in biotechnology, and its entrepreneurial team includes one chemical engineer and two biotechnologists.

The project called “Alternatives to the use of antibiotics” is a spin-off from a Santa Fe-based company called Diagramma, and it aims at creating a platform with different kinds of active ingredients (bacteriophages) for different applications, using the same methodology.

The company will develop biotechnological solutions to control and treat bacterial infections, especially those caused by antibiotic-resistant strains. Bacteriophages for therapeutic use in humans, animals, and plants are used as active ingredients in order to substitute and/or complement antibiotics use.
