Biotecnofe S.A. joined the PTLC pre-established business sector in September 2018.

This company was a merger of a Biotechnology Development Laboratory’s research group from the UNL’s School of Biological Sciences and Biochemistry and Zoovet S.A., a PTLC-based company. It specializes in biotechnology and its entrepreneurial team is mostly made up of biotechnologists.

Researchers aim at developing a production system with a recombinant-animal cell-culture-based technology, by which the cell genome is modified for its in vitro production.

Biotecnofé SA will produce FOLIREC, a hormone used in ovulation-induction and fixed-time artificial insemination (FTAI) protocols in beef cattle, goat, pig, etc.
